The Friends' Holiday Book Sale!

Friday, November 20 - Sunday, November 22
Locust Grove Estate, 2683 South Road (Route 9), Poughkeepsie NY 12603
For safety reasons, the Holiday Book Sale will be a little different this year. 

New! Early Bird Tickets allow 40 ticket-holders early access on the first day of the Sale from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM. Early Bird Tickets go on sale Monday, November 2 at 10:00 AM. To learn more about Early Bird tickets and to purchase them, click here.
The Holiday Book Sale opens to the general public at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 20, and will be limited to 40 shoppers at a time. 
COVID-19 Precautions (for Early Bird and General Public):
  • Everyone must wear a mask that covers both your nose and mouth at all times. 
  • No food or beverages will be allowed inside Locust Grove.
  • Please maintain 6’ social distance from other shoppers and those in line. 
  • Books must be paid for in the room where you found them (example: books from  the Special Room, must be paid for in the Special Room and books from  the General Room must be paid for in the General Room).
  • No sitting on floor (no seats will be available).
  • No storing books, boxes, etc. under the tables or in the aisles. 
  • For those who are purchasing large amounts of books, there will be a designated area to place your boxes while you continue to shop. Upon purchase, we ask that you kindly remove all your boxes at that time. 
  • No gathering large piles of books to be later reviewed and/or discarded. Please make your decisions while looking at each book.
Anyone not following these rules will be asked to leave.

Please note that the Friends' Book Store will be closed Saturday, November 21 during the Holiday Book Sale.
 
Holiday Book Sale Hours:
Friday, November 20:
Early Bird (ticket required): 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM
General Public: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday, November 21 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Sunday, November 22 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Everything is half-off Sunday!

Cash, Check (with valid ID), Credit Card (MC, Visa, and Discover) accepted. 
Gift certificates and Friends' Tote Bags will be available for purchase!
 
No Donations Please!
As we get ready for the Holiday Book Sale, we ask that you hold off on bringing any donations from Wednesday, November 11 - Sunday, November 29. This will also give our amazing volunteers a much deserved break to enjoy Thanksgiving! Donations will resume Monday, November 30.
